California employers should replace their current Cal/OSHA “Safety and Health Protection on the Job” poster with the updated version, as Cal/OSHA revised the notice’s contact information in April. The remainder of the posting is largely unchanged, but the updated contact details make replacement important. For clients who purchased an all-in-one poster, post this 8 ½ x 11 notice next to your other posters. (Link to poster: https://www.dir.ca.gov/dosh/dosh_publications/shpstreng012000.pdf)
The updated poster must be displayed in a conspicuous location at each worksite where employees can easily read it during the workday — typically in break rooms, near time clocks, employee entrances, or wherever labor law posters are customarily maintained. Employers with multiple worksites should post the updated notice at each location. For remote employees, we also recommend making the updated poster available electronically through your normal employee communication platform or intranet.
